Producer Shannon Wilson-McClinton is passionate about storytelling and bringing your vision to life. A communications graduate of the University of Canberra, Shannon has been active in the production industry for more than twenty years. She brings both breadth and depth of experience to her work, having filled production roles in government, corporate, advertising and broadcast television spaces as well as feature film. In 2008 she incorporated production company Superlative Pictures and over the years has produced hours of content for government and non-government organisations.

Shannon produced the interstitial series Australian by Degree, for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The series was filmed on three continents and broadcast internationally. 

​

In 2015 she line-produced the AACTA Award-nominated JOE CINQUE’S CONSOLATION. In 2018 she co- produced Ben Lawrence’s feature film debut HEARTS AND BONES, which starred Hugo Weaving and was selected for the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. In 2021 she was engaged as a Field Director on the David Attenborough documentary BREAKING BOUNDARIES: The Science of Our Planet. That same year, she produced Macario De Souza’s feature film 6 FESTIVALS released in cinema and on streamer Paramount+ in August 2022. In 2022 she co-produced Ivan Sen’s feature film LIMBO, shot in Coober Pedy starring Simon Baker. In 2023 she produced the Australian dark comedy AUDREY starring kiwi actor Jackie Van Beek.

Shannon was a 2017 recipient of mentoring through the Natalie Miller Foundation “Brilliant Careers” program. She has held board positions with WiFT Australia (2019-2022) and currently serves on boards for the ACT based artist cooperative 'Strathnairn Arts Association' and the not-for-profit outreach and support service 'Fearless Women'.

Shannon holds a Graduate Diploma in Screen Business from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School and offers a deep understanding of the production process; strong organisation skills; excellent interview technique; a stellar list of contacts; a positive attitude and a genuine passion for what she does.
